Meet the Optometrist

  • Simpson and Mann Optometry
    Dr. Stuart M. Mann O.D., M.A., F.C.O.V.D.

    Dr. Stuart Mann comes to us with a special interest in Children’s vision care and vision therapy for adults and children. A third generation optometrist, Dr. Mann graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry. With his special interest in learning related vision problems, Dr. Mann earned his Masters of Arts in Reading from Notre Dame de Namur University.

    Dr. Mann practiced for many years in Northern California. He is board certified in pediatric vision care and vision therapy by the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and has served on the Board of Directors of this organization. He is also glaucoma certified. He has been involved with the local and state optometric association, serving as president of the San Mateo County Optometric Association, president of the Bay Area Optometric Council, and serving on the board of trustees of the California Optometric Association.

    In 2010, Dr. Mann came to Southern California to establish the pediatric clinic at the new College of Optometry at Western University of Health Sciences, in Pomona. After an enjoyable three years with WesternU, Dr. Mann decided it was time to return to private practice at Simpson and Mann Optometry. He brings his background in pediatric children’s care, vision therapy, and contact lens care including orthokeratology to the practice along with personalized service for children and adults.

    Dr. Mann and his family are thrilled to make Southern California their home. Dr. Mann lives with his wife, Jeanine, who teaches in the College of Health Sciences at Western University of Health Sciences, and his daughter Camille.
